Show Gene Kirk Elected Chairman for '39 Fair at Milford Beaver county's 1939 fair, which will be held at Milford sometime I the early part of September, is ' off to a splendid start following a ' meeting of the county committee j hild Friday evening- cf last week i at Beaver. E. C. Barton of Beaver i served as chairman of the commit-I commit-I tee this year with the fair held in j Beaver and he very graciously re-' re-' tired at the Friday meeting in ! favor of D. E. Kirk of Milford, i well known indomictable booster, j whose election as chairman insures '' a most successful fair and race meet. J. Cass Root, likewise known for his absolute dependability to carry thrcugh in an efficient man-; man-; ner anything he undertakes, will ! serve as secretary in place of E. j A. Griffiths of Beaver, who served i in that capacity for this year's ' fair at Beaver. j Mr. Barton remains a member I of the county fair committee which was named for a two year term by the board of county commissioners commis-sioners last spring; while other members of the committee include W. W. Farrer and Kent Morgan of Beaver; J. S. Murdock of Minersville, representing the board of county commissioners; and E. R. Moody, principal of the Milford high school, the other Milford member. This committee setup, however, may be changed or aug- J mented in order better to serve j this next year's fair. |
