Show o Thornton Honored WithHigh Office J. W. Thornton of Provo, U-28 district governor of Lions clubs for tho past year, who has made a remarkable record in the conduct con-duct of that office, was honored with election to the board of seven governors of Lions International at the annual convention held last week in Mexico City. The convention also elected their first vice president, Richard J. Osembaugh of Denver, to the presidency of the association. Lion "Dick" Osembaugh, an official of-ficial of the Denver Sewer Pipe and Clay company, has been a widely known and respected figure in the association for many years. Mr. Osembaugh has been president of the Denver Lions club, district governor of Colorado Colo-rado Lions clubs, became a member mem-ber of the international board of directors in 1930, served two years, and was elevated to the third vice presidency in 1932. H rose successively through the three vice presidencies and was unanimously voted into the highest high-est office of the association at the Mexico City meeting by the accredited ac-credited delegates representing 80,000 Lions. o |
