Show A, C. KEEPS LP WINNING MARCH The Milford A. C. basketball team with many rooters, went to Cedar City Tuesday afternoon on a special j train donated by the company, the engine and train crews volunteering their services. The Branch Agricultural Agricul-tural College team was met and defeated de-feated 40 to 34. The game was one of the best exhibitions of real basketball bas-ketball ever played in Utah, the passing pas-sing and general play of both team; being wonderful. The score at the half was 18 all. Smith and Bettridge played forward for Milford; Marshall, center; and Bradfield, Glen and Eyre, guards. Marshall made 19 points and Smith 12. For the B. A. C.: Gillins and Yardley were forwards; Wood, center; and Olson, Young, and Osvorn, guards. Gillins and Wood each made 11 points. Beat Lynndyl The A. C. won over Lynndyl Feb. 9 by a score of 43 to 11. As Prove beat Caliente the same night, Milford is now at the head in the L. A. & S-L. S-L. league race. The crack B. A. C. team will be met here next Tuesday night and a thrilling encounter is assured. |
