Show BIRTHDAY BALL, HOUSE TO HOUSE CANVASS TO WIND UP MARCH OF DIMES 1 The annual March of Dimes Birthday Ball, to be held Saturday, Sat-urday, Jan. 26th in the High School gymnasium, is expected expect-ed to be one of the best-attended entertainments of the season. sea-son. Warren Johnson, Milford city chairman, said today. All proceeds, with no deductions for expenses, will go to the March of Dimes fund. Donations at the basketball game last week, amounting to $15, swelled the basketball contributions con-tributions to $43, and students at the elementary school turned in envelopes containing more than $82 during the past week. The high school contributions have not been totaled, but committee com-mittee members "hope" they will pass the elementary school mark, n Final campaign for funds for 1952 will be made Thursday, Jan. 31, when the Marching Ladies under leadership of Mrs. Eva Stonehocker make a doon-to-door canvass of the city to complete the drive. Residents are requested to greet the ladies with generous contributions. |
