Wc omitted stating that the protest pro-test or Mr. Martlneau was the means or discontinuing the side-show, where the lioochec-koocliiee dance was exhibited. ex-hibited. Alter Mr. Maitincau's protest, pro-test, Marshal Crockett went to the manager with the lesult above stated. The circus proper was a good average performance, but the operations in some of the side-shows, and the language lan-guage used to induce people to go into them were disgusting. While hoochc-koochec hoochc-koochec dances aie ficqucnt In many of the cities, we believe that they should not be allowed in tills city, and before license is given to the shows it should be specified that no lewd peiformance of any kind be opeiated on the giounds. |
