Coming as It does fiom a disinterested pen, the aitlclo will no doubt prove of Interest, to this, people and we gladly publish It, w! fli is as follows: . . "The sei'clllMMt Dublan Sunday afternoon vvM;d- u,Hitcrestliig and Instructive. "'nlcl Thomas, of PiovoClty,i0 jaijepgth and In an earnest niAntti,,: Apostle 'fea-'jale flpoke like a gentle lain falllngon budding plants. It was an Intellectual treat, full of a noble kindly spirit. He cncouiaged justice, chaiity. patience and love in all, not only to the members of thcMoiinou church but to all mankind. Ho is a gentleman whose faco and manner before an audience, would command respect of Intelligent pcoplo anywhere In the world. "That man had been persecuted, driven from home, hounded and lied about and suffered many sorrows for his religion, yet his first words after stating his pleasure In meeting the people, were words of praise and kindness kind-ness fo'r members of other churches not Mormons, who sincerely lived up to their religion. Ho hardly alluded to his own mistreatment and when ho did so It was without tho least trace of bitterness or revenge; and It was plain that none of thosplrlt of intolerance intoler-ance or bitterness was in his heart. Ho was before an audience of his ow n peole and could speak freely and yet his every word and look was that of peace on earth and good will to all mankind. It Is a very broad mind and noble nature to suffer persecutions and evil and then to rise above all bitterness and have the heart go out in kindness and with the desire to benefit and bless tho very people from whom the persecutions sprung. Now It is evident that people who respect others respect themselves. And respecting themselves and pulling pull-ing together, they do a"great many admirable things." |
