The boys started off well and gave piomiso of putting up a stiff pci-formance, pci-formance, but fell down about the four or fifth inning and put up a poor exhibition of ball. Those who liked to sco tho ball pounded aiound were gratified to a certain extent, as there was some' tolerably fair stick work done, Doano, the Smlthflcld catcher, getting seveial good swats at the horschlde.
