Show FUNERAL FOR NORA NOBLE ATSMITHFIELD Smlthfleld, Aug. 3. runeral services ser-vices over the remains of Mrs. Nor.f Noble were hold in the First ward on Ju,ly 29, Counselor Oeorgo Done conducting the services. The choir sang "Sister, Thou Wert Mild and Lovely." Prayer was offered by counselor coun-selor Peter Hanson; singing, "Arise, My Soul, Arise."' Elders Lewis S. Pond, J. W. Klrkbrlde, J. L. Morten-sen, Morten-sen, Mlshop Wm. L. Winn and Georgo Done all spoke of the beautiful life cf the deceased and offered consoling consol-ing remarks to the bereaved. "Oh, Let Mo Dream" was beautifully rendered ren-dered by Mrs. E. B. Lundqulst. Tho duet, "Come Unto Me," was rendered by Nathan Done and Mrs. Clara Sparks. The choir sang "Oh My Father." Benediction was offered by Wm. O. Raymond. Nora Allsop Noblo was born Sept. 25, 1895, In Thatcher, Bannock county, Idaho. She Is tho daughter of Thomas and Sylvia Allsop. Sho was married to George Noblo Nov. 12, 1913, In the Logan teniplc. She has been a sufferer suf-ferer the past year, and underwent au operation at the L. D. S. hospital some three months ago, which necessarily neces-sarily had to be repeated. The shock wob too great for hor weakened condition con-dition and, 'thought Bho passed through the operation and regained consciousness, sho soon passed away. She died at tho L. D. S. hospital July 26 at 6 p. m. She leaves a husband, one child and a large family of relatives rela-tives to mourn her early demise. We now havo the assurance of ths establishment of a freo public library In our city. The election of the taxpayers to vote for or against said library was held on July 28 and resulted. In 145 votes being cast of which 110 were In favor of the library, 34 votes against, and one ballot was spoiled. The Daughters of Pioneers of Smlthfleld camp will meet at the homo of Mrs. Jesse T. The Uniod Hall company announces an-nounces that all our military boys, who leavo August 5 for service, will bo guests of tho company and bo admitted ad-mitted free to the dance on Saturday evening, August 4. Mr. Henry O. Hanson has had a bad caso of quinsy tho past weok. His throat had to be lanced on Monday Mon-day last. Mr. Jas. V. Allen mashed a flngor so badly, while working with his car, that It had to bo amputated.- Messrs. Joseph W. Watson, Bert Clark and Jamos Buck all made application ap-plication to Join tho aviation corps and left for Salt Lake City Wednesday. Wednes-day. Mr. Evcrott Smith had ono of his ribs broken from the back by being squeezed betwoen tho whcol of the wagon and dump boards by a wild colt. Unless the lntornal organs have boon crushed, the doctor thinks Mr. Smith will be out again In a few weeks.
