Show FUNERAL !0R JOSEPH QUINNEY THIS AFTERNOON Today at 2 o'clock In tho Nlbloy hall will be held tho funeral services over tho remains of Joseph Qulnnoy, Sr., ono of Logan's best known and most worthy citizens, who died on Saturday following an Illness of several sev-eral weeks. Mr. Qulnney was In his 68th year, and hla death was occasioned occas-ioned through an illness incident to old ago. It has been hoped for weeks that ho would bo able to survive sur-vive his Illness, but several days before be-fore doath camo, tho Immediate members mem-bers of tho family held out Uttlo hope of his ever being able to recover re-cover again to his normal health nnd strength. Joseph Qulnnoy, Sr., was of the sturdy English stock, who Joined tho Mormon faith in tho land of his birth and come to Utah to worship J God according to tho dictates or his own conscience. Ho wns born in ithe year 1849 and nrrlvod In Utah In tho year 18C9 at tho ago of twenty years. I Slnco that tlmo ho has been best I known ns nn nccountnnt among his early friends and acquaintances In acho valley. For n long tlmo he was Identified with tho Z. C. M. I. In this city, which institution ho served faithfully and well. Later ho became ldentlflod with tho Thatcher That-cher Brothers Banking company and has had considerable responsibility on his shoulders in that Institution for, a good many years. Mr. Qulnnoy has been a devoted Latter-Day saint, faithful to his religion re-ligion and has reared a family of ten children, all of whom nro men and women of Integrity who roflect tho charactor of that honorable nnOh trustworthy man whose death has brought sorrow and heart aches to his largo family of children and grandchildren, who mourn not alone, as his frlend3 are limited only by tho extent of his acquaintance.
