Show The Funeral of Geoge Done I Smithfield Pioneer Laid to Rest, All I the Other News from Northern City. I H SMITHFIELD, Sept. 18.1000. Tho funeral services over the remains of George Done were held Sunday after, noon at :i o'clock In tho tabernacle. A very largo audlenco assembled to show their sympathy and respect to the bo-rcaved bo-rcaved family. Thocholrof which Mr. Dono was a strong member at ono tlmo was present In full strength. After Af-ter singing by the el.olr, prayer was Offered by J. J. Richardson. The following fol-lowing speakers addressed tho meeting meet-ing In tho order given: Mr. Quaylo of Logan, Elder Samuel Roskclly, Mr. Flshburn of Ilrlgham City, Uiothcrs Robt, Thornley. E. R. Miles, L. G. Farrcll, and Sam Nelson. Mr. Quaylo was born near tho same town In England as tho deceased, camo with him to Utah, and was a'closo friend till death parted them. Ho knew him as an honest man, a faithful servant of tho Almighty Father, a loving husband and father and a firm friend and good neighbor. He expressed expres-sed In broken words his sympathy for the widow and family and hoped God's loving mercy would comfort them In their bereavement. Elder Samuel Itoskclley spoke of the strong character of tho deceased and and willingness to help wherever his help was needed. Ho said that Brother Broth-er Done had gono to the reward offered offer-ed a good and faithful Christian servant. Brother Flshburn said that whllo Brother Done was not an ambitious man, a leader of men, ho was what counted so much more than these, an honest God-tearing man. The other speakers followed In the same strain and all gave their heartfelt heart-felt sympathy to tho widow and family. fami-ly. The choir sang "I Need Thee Every hour" and "Nearer my God to Thee,1' and after benediction by Sylvester Low, led the funeral cortege to the grave. The full delegation attended the convention at Logan Saturday afternoon and was conspicuous not alono because of its full membership but because of the fact that It was tho only delegation containing among Its members three ladles.
