Show Preston Musi- eian Badly Hurt . Kansas City, Mo., March 4. Outgoing Rock Island Texas train No. 2a, which left the Union Un-ion station at 10:30 o'clock tonight to-night over the Union Pacific-tracks, Pacific-tracks, which the Rock Island uses - out of here, crashed into the smoker of Rock Island tra ins Nos. 12 and 22, which were made into one. but were late, and which were trying -to make a siding at the Rock Island junction, junct-ion, just outside of the Kansas City yards. The smoker was thrown from the track, tu -nel over and smashed into kin lling wood, and the dozen or more persons inside all sustained injuries, in-juries, but no one was killed. L. A. Bunn. Kansas City, March 5 All of , the passengers and crew injured last night in the Roc c Island collision near here were reported improving- early today and none of them will die. L. A. Bunn of Preston, iua,, who was hurt internally, in-ternally, and who,, it was thought-- -V.::" at first would die, is bettor today and it is said will recover. The injured man was a resident resi-dent of Preston until a few days ago, when he left lor the east to reside. Hhas boen the manager of the Preston Standard for a year or two past. He is a talented talent-ed cornetist, and formerly con- . ducted the brass band at Mill-villa, Mill-villa, Cache county. He has many friends in this valiey who hope for his speedy recovery. |
