Show A Matter of Importance. There are, residing in this section of country a large number of aliens, who have been here long enough to entitle them to become citizens of the United States, if only the proper steps had been taken in time. But because of adverse circumstances and because of their own negligence, many of them have not even made declaration of their intention to become citizens. A matter of such importance should not be longer neglected. An opportunity is now offered, by which such individuals may secure their "first papers" without unnecessary cost to themselves. A.C. Emerson, Esq, [Esquire] Clerk of the First District Court, has appointed Frank J. Cannon a deputy clerk; and the office of the deputy is at the ???? office, Logan. Any alien who desires to do so, may call at this office; and, after complying with proper requirements, have placed on record his declaration of intention to become a citizen of the United States. |
