Show Apostle C. C. Rich's Health By the courtesy of Bro. C. O. Card, we are permitted to make the following extract from a letter written to him by Sister Emeline Rich, respecting the health of Apostle C. C. Rich, dated Salt Lake city, Dec. 30th 1880: "by the request of Mr. Rich I drop you a line to inform you of his progress. He is gradually improving in the use of his limbs, and also in his appetite. He is now so that with the help of one to assist me I can raise him in a sitting position on the side of the bed, and sit him on his chair in an upright position. We get him up twice a day; he sits up two or three hours at a time. He can bear some weight on his right limb, but none as yet on the left one, but can raise it off the floor when sitting in a chair. He begins to move his fingers a little; his speech is greatly improved; his mind is also stronger." The writer continues by expressing the hope that Brother Rich will be able to remove home to Bear Lake, with the brethren from there who are now attending the Idaho legislature at Boise City. |
