There is great concern in my mind as I have seen the trend in the county law enforcement field move from assisting citizens in the basic needs of protection from vandalism, burglary, assault, traffic offenders, etc. to areas of seldom needed services which would best be provided by existing well trained volunteer groups. fe & I have devoted p ""a 'I v'irrffj u There is virtually no drug enforcement program currently in force in the Davis County Sheriffs Office. Drugs are in our schools, and they are being widely used. This is an area of prime concern to me. I am a firm believer that in order to do a job effectively, one must be able to work cooperatively with other people, even those he disagrees with. This doesnt mean being a yes man but rather, being a reasonable man. I dont believe in spending public monies for luxuries. u 17 yrs. Graduate of FBI experience In law enforcement 'C. The budget for the Sheriffs Office has more than doubled during the past four years, and I believe a large portion has been spent for frills. i r? 1A pmete I ask for your support on November 7th.
