Show BERYL NEWS NOTES The new and outgoing officers i of the Ladies club met last Wed- j nesday for a party and to arrange ar-range for the annual Christmas party of the club. The party will ' be held at the Al Pederson home, i Dewey Godard was called to j Los Angeles this week because-of because-of the death of his brother. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Judd drove' to Las Vegas Sunday to visit their daughter Joan Hunt and , family. Their son Pat returned with them. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Scott have their small son in the Cedar City hospital where he underwent an operation. He is reported to be( improving rapidly. j Mrs. A. Porter attended funer-: al services for her brother in Las Vegas last week. Her husband was in the hospital in Cedar City. Jack Godard, who Is a member mem-ber of the Hamilton Air Force base football team, played in Las Vegas Sunday but the family fam-ily was unable to travel to Nevada Ne-vada for the game. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Moyle are making good progress on their new home on Beryl road. William Moyle is back at work on his farm. The 4-H leaders of the Beryl area were guests at a banquet at El Escalante hotel in Cedar City last week, given by the Bank of Southern Utah and the Bank of Iron County. Attending from Beryl were William Hunt, Mrs. Austin Moyle, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Holland. Mrs. Lane Austin was a guest at a dinner party given in Cedar City last week by the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary in honor of wives and mothers of Iron county men in military ser-vice. ser-vice. Mrs. Marshall Austin reports that her husband is expected home from Korea late in December Decem-ber or early January. He has been serving with the 213th Field Artillery battalion and was scheduled to leave for home on Dec. 8. Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Holland and son Carl spent last week end in Las Vegas and Boulder City, Nev., visiting with their son Thomas who is attending the Boulder high school. They also attended a family reunion in North Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Quinn were in Salt Lake City last week visiting vis-iting with friends. Mrs. Cordia Quinn, who has been reporting news events of the Beryl area for the Iron County Coun-ty Record during the past year, has been relieved of that responsibility. respon-sibility.
