Show UFWC District Convention Slated Saturday l . -. ;v State Federated Club officers wTio will speak at Conver tion of Southern District clubs in Parowan Saturday, June 26. State President, Mrs. O. W. and We-Ak-Avl clubs, local literary and welfare groups, will attend the Southern District convention conven-tion which will convene at 10 a, m. in Parowan on Saturday. The Cedar City ladles will also furnish furn-ish two of the numbers for the program which will be given during the afternoon session. The Parowan Literary Club, one of the earliest groups in this end of the State to become federated, feder-ated, will act as hostess to all other clubs in the Southern District Dis-trict at the Convention. Members of the P. L. C. have been organized organ-ized into committees which are hard at work in preparation for the event. Special features include addresses ad-dresses by State Club president, Mrs. O. Jay Kingston, first vice-Dresident. vice-Dresident. Mrs. I. R. Morrison. and possibly others of the State organization. Upon registration at 10 a.m. members will receive an attractive souvenir program. The morning meeting will include in-clude besides the addresses, reports re-ports of club presidents, election of officers and other business. Reservations for the noon luncheon lunch-eon are being made In advance with club secretaries. Main features fea-tures of the afternoon session will be numbers from each club In the district including vocal and instrumental music, skits and readings. This will probably be open to all ladles who care to attend. Both meetings and the luncheon will be held in the elementary school building. Representatives from clubs in Washington, Kane, Garfield, and Iron counties are expected to be present. |
