Since that time hundreds of favorably i impressed girls have decided to continue their education at SUSC and done so mostly because of the impression of the school and campus left with the girls after their Girl's State experience. Keeping this in mind, the Record this week was curious to find out how the school was doing this year with the girls on campus once again, and we were interested in what the girls thought-about thought-about the campus and community. The question: "What is your impression of Southern Utah State College and Cedar City?" Geniel Pitcher, Lewiston: "I think it has a beautiful campus. I think if it was a little bit bigger, I'd be sure to come here, but I'm definitely thinking about it. I've been impressed with the people I've seen, and I like the idea of the Shakespearean Festival here. I just really like it. It's one of the prettiest campuses that I've ever seen." Aleece Corbridge, Hyde Park: "Hove it. It's small, but its just kind of friendly. I like all the trees around." Shelly Staker, Elmo: "I got here and I love the college; I love the campus and the greenness green-ness of it. I was wondering won-dering about coming here, and I didn't know, but know it's a bigger possibility than before." Marguerite Mower, Ferron: "I was planning on coming down here, and being down here makes me really appreciate ap-preciate that I want to come down here because of the program that's being offered in what I want to go into: elementary education. I really like the campus; it's pretty. There are a lot of people that are willing to help you, like the cafeteria people . They are always friendly to you and really nice to the girls. It looks like a nice place to live if you want to live out in Cedar." Marie Bigelow, Price: "It's beautiful here. This campus is a lot larger than CEU. There's not any boys around. I like it here a lot better than in Price. The dorms are nicer than ours. I plan to go to school down here, either here or in Dixie." Melanie Hansen, Spanish Fork: "I really like it. I applied lor a scholarship here because I'd like to go here maybe next year alter I graduate. I think it's a nice campus. It's a pretty campus. I don't really know much about their programs, but I'm impressed im-pressed by their college." Darlyn Hansen, American Fork: "I think like Melanie said, this is one of the prettiest campuses that I've ever been on. It's really gorgeous here, and the people are really friendly. frien-dly. Ii I lived here J don't think that I'd let a lot of girls come around. The people are really nice to us. Cedar City is nice, kind of deserty looking." Joye Hahne, Cedar City: "It's the best place, and I'm so proud to be here. I love SUSC, and I'm proud to be a citizen of Cedar City. We have beautiful trees here, and we have beautiful guys here too. I'm so proud of them because all these girls are walking along, and they say those Cedar guys are so neat and I just say those are my guys." |
