Show Funeral Services Performed ForCarlyleB. Hoyle Funeral services for Carlyle B. Hoyle, former resident of Parowan, Paro-wan, who died in Seattle, Wash, on Friday, Oct. 8, were held in the Parowan Third Ward chapel last Friday afternoon with' Bishop Bish-op Howard M. Adams, brother-in-law of the deceased, conducting. conduct-ing. Speakers at the services were President W. Clair Rowley and President J. Harold Mitchell, with closing remarks by Bishop Adams. The prayer at the home preceding pre-ceding the services was offered by Bishop Karl O. Mitchell. Bishop Bish-op II. L. Adams offered the opening open-ing prayer, Grant MacDonald of Mesa, Arizona, offered the benediction bene-diction and the grave was dedicated dedi-cated by Randall Adams, both of the latter being brothers-in-law of the deceased. Orna Johnson was at the organ or-gan for the prelude and post-lude. post-lude. The opening song, 'Though Deepening Trials," was by a double dou-ble mixed quartet consisting of Ramona Stubbs, Alice Mitchell, Borta Burton, Frankie Lou Bent- ley, Karl Mitchell, Ivan Decker, Ray Lyman and Grayson Gurr, with Mary Lyman at the piano. A ladies trio composed of Mrs. Stubbs, Elna Stubbs and Shirley Evans sang "End of a Perfect Day," with Itha Mortenscn at the piano, and the closing song "Oh My Father," was by the mixed quartet. Military rites at the cemetery were conducted by Bain Mathe-son Mathe-son and the flag which draped the casket during the services, was presented to Mrs. Hoyle hv Garv Bentley, commander of the Parowan Post No. 74, American Legion. |
