Show I Joyce Crabtree Becomes Bride of Richard H. Messer in St. George Temple Ceremonies The nutials of Joyce Emily Crabtree and Richard II. Messer took place Friday. June 29, in the St Goorge Temple with President Harold Snow offiiciat. ing. j Joyce is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Crabtree, and Richard is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. It. Messer. , The couple was accompanied through the temple by both their parents. Mr. and Mrs. John Messer. a borther of Beaver, Mr.; and Mrs. Collins Rowley, Miss; Inez Cox, John S. Hamilton. Mrs.! Gordon Twltchell and Dr. and Mrs. Forrest Anderson. The groom's parents entertained entertain-ed at a luncheon at their home in Cedar City for the wedding party, family members, and Mr.' and Mrs. Bruce Rigby, Friday af. I ternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Crabtree were hosts at a lovely garden recep-j tion Friday night at the Crabtree Crab-tree residence, honoring the new-1 lyweds. The lawns were light- ed with Japanese lanterns over! small tables where the guests, were served. The serving table! was highlighted by a beautiful' .wedding cake made by Richard's mother, and decorated by Mrs. Reed Cox. This table was arranged arrang-ed by Mrs. Forrest Hunter. ! The bride greeted her friends1 in an original gown of white jchantilly lace over bride's satin. A Queen Ann collar, long point-! ed sleeves, and a row of buttons! down the front, accented a tiny waistline from which flar?d three bouffant tiers, attached on each side to a front Princess panel. Her fingertip veil was of bride's illusion and cascaded from a tiara of embroidered seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of a white orchid surrounded by white carnations and pink rose buds. Her matron of honor, Mrs. Don-lee Don-lee Siimkins, and the maid of honor, Marjorie Crabtree, were dressed in pastel blue. Other bridesmaids wore pink, and included in-cluded Nellene Parry, Shirlee Graff and Diane Cooley. Little Wendy Crabtree and Glenna Rae Crabtree were flower girls In pink and blue. All attendants held nosegays of pink and blue daisies. Mother of the bride wore pink lace, Mrs. Messer was in blue lace, and both wore corsages of pink carnations. Best man was Gordon Slack, and ushers were Larry Lowder, Frank Knell and Gayle Simkin. Kaye Crabtree was in charge of the guest book, and Dorothy Rowley was hostess. Serving wera Vickie Taylor, Karen Gayle, Gery Smith and Jeanette Flan-nigan. Flan-nigan. In the gift room were Jeann-ette Jeann-ette Slack and Anne Messer. Helping in the kitchen were Mrs. Gam Seegmlller, Mrs. Ed. Parry, Mrs. Wallace Smith, Joyce's aunt, Mrs. Leo Mortes-son, Mortes-son, and her daughter CoDeea 4 Salt Lake City; Barbara Bvaaa and Lee Ann Dorrity. During the evening Alice Messer Mes-ser entertained the guests with several vocal solos, a crona !-ed !-ed by Kristine Corry, and Ms. Carlos Taylor directed and accompanied ac-companied the "Peanuts" la several sev-eral numbers.
