Show Miss Sharon Adams Betrothed To Bobby Kay Knell Tiie St. George LDS Temple was the setting tor the February 12th wedding of Miss Sharon Adams and Mr. Bobby Kay Knell. Temple President Rudger C. At-kin At-kin officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oren Adams. Parents o the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. B. Kay Knell of Cedar City. The CSU Family Living C'entei was the scene lor a reception held the evening of the wedding. The bride wore a white gown of poie de soir featuring an empire em-pire waistline appliiiued with lacy flowers on the top front 01 the gown and down a front panel. The diess featured elbow length sleeves, a round neckline and a chapel train. The train was adorned with appliqued flowers. Accessories to the dress were white wrist length gloves and a' bridal illusion veil caught to a1 lacy crest. The bridal bouquet was made ol white gardenias and lii-' ly- of-the-valley. Attending the bride were Miss! Mary Lampman, Miss Lois Lin- j ford, Miss Kathy Bring hurst, Mrs. j John Spevak and Mrs. John ! Southwick. They wore rose color-1 ed velvet dresses with white' chystalline petal collars. Each at-1 tendant wore a matching rose colored flower shaped head piece and white wrist length gloves. They held nose-gays of white j mums and lilly-oi-the-valley. j Jerry Wood and Gail Knell stood as best men for the bride-, groom. Ushering were J. C. Hew-1 tun, Russell Jones, John Spevak, Johnny Ksplin and Brent Larsen. ' For the occasion the bride's' mother wore a brown wool suit, brown wrist length gloves and a corsage of pink and white carnations. car-nations. Mother of the bridegroom bride-groom was dressed in a beige colored wool suit, beige wrist-length wrist-length gloves and a pink and white carnation corsage. Mrs. Lee Spencer furnished background organ music during the reception. Attending the guest book were Mrs. Ashley Paddock and Mrs. Donald Davis. Gift room attendants attend-ants were Mrs. Vernon Dalley and Mrs. E. J. Lampman. Kitchenv hostess was Mrs. Wanda Cox. Others assisting with the reception recep-tion were Mrs. A. J. Williams, Mrs. James Prince and Mrs. Car-lyle Car-lyle Bills. Serving were the Misses Carolyn Roper, Pamela Berrett and Carol Siri. The bride's going away outfit was a three-piece navy blue knit suit and red patent leather accessories. ac-cessories. Her corsage was of white gardenias. After honeymooning in California Califor-nia the newlyweds will make their home in Las Vegas, Nev. Both the biide and bridegroom are Cedar High School graduates, and the bride has attended College Col-lege of Southern Utah where she was affiliated with Pi Rho Omega Ome-ga Sorority. She has also been employed in Salt Lake City and Cedar City with I he Mountain States Telephone Company. Mr. Knell graduated from Weltch College Col-lege of Electronics in Salt Lake City and is currently employed in Las Vegas, Nevada. Out of town guests here for the wedding festivities included a grandmother, Mrs. Mary A. Allen of Washington, Utah, Mr. and Mr.-.. Melvin Weaver and Leon Leigh also of Washington. Brother Bro-ther and sister-in-law of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Adams and their two sons arrived from their home in Rock Springs, Wyo. for the occasion. They were here from Thursday until Sunday. Also Al-so here were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Judd, Mrs. Karolyn Johnson and daughter Tammy Lou of Las Vegas and Mrs. Beulah Huntsman Hunts-man and daughter Marilyn of Santa Anna, California. |
