Show Cheryl Williams and Melvin Scott Speak Wedding Vows Cheryl Williams of Kanarra-ville Kanarra-ville and Melvin Scott repeated marriage vows on June 27 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hayes in Las Vegas. Officiating at "the double-ring ceremony was Bishop Coombs. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Williams of Kanrraville. Mr. Scott is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Scott of Daisy, Washington. For the reception on July 25 the bride wore a floor-length white lace and net gown which featured a fitted bodice and long pointed sleeves with a full tiered skirt. Her shoulder length veil fell from a white rose with seed pearls on petal tips. The bridal bouquet was three tiers of lavender laven-der carnations. The flower girl, three-year-old Leslie Hayes of Las Vegas, was dressed as a minature bride. Attending the bride was her maid of honor, Miss Sharla Wood of Las Vegas, with brides maids Miss Hanna Davis, Miss Sheny Lovell and Miss Lenis Davies, ail of Kanarraville. The attendants were d-es.ed in matching shades of lavender, with white hats and veils, and carried white carnations. The parents of the bride, assisted as-sisted at receiving the guests, along with Byron N. Williams, who stood as best man for the bridegroom. Lynn Cornelius was at the guest book. Beverley Pollock, Pol-lock, Carma Williams and Mary Bauer were in charge of the gift room. Kitchen hostesses were Belle Davis, Gwen Davis and Bessie Bes-sie Davis. Serving were Debbie Williams, Brenda Pollock, Christine Cornelius Corne-lius and Danna Williams. After a month-long honeymoon in Washington they are making their home in Las Vegas. |
