Show Vows Recited by Cedar City Couple A double ring ceremony was performed Saturday morning. June 8, in the St. George LDS Temple by President Harold S. Snow, uniting in marriage a popular pop-ular Cedar City couple, Charlotte Ann Perkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Perkins, and Reed Murdock, son of Mr. and "Mrs. A. Carlos Murdock, formerly of Beaver. Bea-ver. A large group of relatives and friends accompanied them to the temple. Following the wedding ceremony cere-mony a buffet luncheon honor-ing honor-ing the ncwlyweds was held at the home of the bridegroom's parents. The bride's gown of chantilly lace over satin had full length sleeves with a round scalloped neckline and a tiered floor-length floor-length skirt. Her fingertip veil of bride's illusion edged with chantilly lace was held by a crown of seed pearls. Her bridal bouquet was of white gladiols intermingled with pink rosebuds. A wedding reception that evening eve-ning was given by parents of the bride in the Cedar First-Fifth Ward church. A peach and blue theme was carried out in the' decorations. Music was played by Mrs. Shirley Cowan and Eleanor Elea-nor Grimshaw. Bonnie Jean Riddle Rid-dle and Carol Ixm Munford sang vocal solos and Mrs. Patsy Ruth Rollo and Herschel Neeley sang a vocal duet. Flower arrangements arrange-ments were under the direction of Mr.?. Thelma Jones and Mrs. Evelyn Webster. Th npur Mrs Murdock chose as her matron and maid of honor, hon-or, her sisters, Mrs. Colleen Neeley Nee-ley and LaRue Perkins. Bridesmaids Brides-maids were Shirley Mclntyre, Ly-i ona Cox and Sharon Harris.) Flower girls were Terri Ann and Ginny Lee Neeley. nieces of the bride, and Lynda Murdock, a niece of the bridegroom. Matron and maid of honor and flower girls were in blue nylon dresses with white chrysanthemum bouquets. bou-quets. Bridesmaids were In matching dresses of peach. Standing as best man was Dale Murdock, brother of the groom. Ushers were Dayle and Kenneth Perkins, brothers of the bride, Joe and Hal Murdock, brothers bro-thers of the bridegroom, and Gayle Simklns. At the guest book was Mrs. Louise Murdock, sister-in-law of the bridegroom. In charge of the gift room was Mrs. Helen Perkins, sister-in-law of the bride, assisted as-sisted by Donna Reid, Martha Hoyt, Carol Ann Parry and Mar-adon Mar-adon Stratton. In charge of the kitchen was Miss Barbara Webb assisted by Shirley Heap, Kathy Cason, Virginia Murdock. Norma Stapley and Alaine Robb. In charge of the serving was Mrs. Arna Cason, assisted by Mary Lou Peterson, Judy and Carma Murdock. The bride's mother wore a dress of blue lace over satin. Her corsage was of pink carnations. The bridegroom's mother wore a dress of pink lace over satin. Her corsage was of pink and white carnations. Also standing in the line was the bridegroom's grandparents. grand-parents. Mr. and Mrs. Georpe C. Murdock of Beaver. Aleta Nelson Nel-son acted as hostess. The couple honeymooned brief, ly in Zion Canyon. As her going away outfit the bride wore a preen cotton dress with white accessories. They are now making their home in Cedar City where the bridegroom will continue his studies at C S U. The bride graduated grad-uated from the Cedar City High School this spring. |
