Show Ruth Marie Hunter Reeve Honored by Parents In Beautifully Appointed Weddinq Reception Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Hunter Hunt-er entertained at a delightfully appointed reception Monday evening, eve-ning, honoring their daughter Ruth Marie, and Ensign Gilbert D. Reeve, who were married in Monterey, Mexico on Aug. 3. Following the reception -the young couple left on a vacation trip to Los Angeles, after which Ensign Reeve will report at Oakland, Oak-land, Calif, where he will be stationed sta-tioned with the Naval Air Force. His bride will accompany him to his new post. The young man, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert A. Reeve of Los Angeles, has been in service with the Naval Air Force for two years, and was commissioned recently at Corpus Christi, Texas, as a jet fighter pilot. He is a former student stu-dent at the Univeristy of Utah where he was filiated with Beta Be-ta Theta Pi fraternity. Mrs. Reeve is a graduate of the Cedar City High School and of the University of Utah, where she was affiliated with Delta Delta Delta sorority. Attending Mrs. Reeve as ma-ron ma-ron or honor at the reception was her sister, Mrs. Dee G. Cowan, Cow-an, and the groom's father acted as best man. Assisting Mrs. Hunter Hun-ter as hostesses were Mrs. A. R. Thorley and Mrs. M. A. Cowley. Pouring were Mrs. Stanley Brad-shaw, Brad-shaw, Mrs. L. V. Broadbent, who is a sorority sister of the bride; Mrs. Edwin L. Peterson and Mrs. Daryl Chase. Serving were the Misses Jackie Winterrose and Elaine Green. In charge of the gift room were Mrs. Douglas Lunt, Mrs. Weston Higbee, Mrs. Harris Nelson, Mrs. Alma Slack and Miss Mary Ann Reese. Mrs. Haze Hunter was in charge of registration. The serving serv-ing table was beautifully decorated decor-ated by Mrs. Forrest Hunter. Mrs. Kenneth Reese, Mrs. Lester Les-ter Gower, Mrs. Orson Tait and Mrs. Eldon Reese assisted as caterers. ca-terers. Ushers were Wtston Higbee Hig-bee and Kenneth Heyborne, and Mrs. Kenneth Heyborne was in charge of photography. Organ music for the occasion was provided pro-vided by Give Hartman. |
