Show s" V Kific Jane Sorensen and Roger A. Chappell Localcouple announces date DeMoin and Lucy Sorensen of Cedar City recently announced the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Elfie Jane, to Roger A. Chappell, son of Seth and Ardeen Chappell of Lyman, Utah. The couple will he married Saturday in the St. (ieorge LDS Temple. That evening a reception will be held at the Sorensen residence, 424 West 400 South, Cedar City Irom 7 to '.) p.m.; in case of inclement weather, at the Cedar West Stake House, 725 South, 1100 West. All friends and relatives are invited. An open house, program and dancing, will be held the lollowing weekend at the Lyman Ward Cultural Hall. Lyman, Utah, on June 20 between 9 p.m. and 12 midnight. Sorensen graduated form Cedar High School in 11)71), where she was active in gymnastics, volleyball and basketball. She has attended two years at Southern Utah State College, majoring in phycical education. She has been on the gymnastics team. She was IDHO Miss Rodeo Iron County and won Miss Congeniality at the Miss Rodeo Utah contest last July. The bridegroom is a 11)77 graduate of Wayne County High School where he participated in wrestling. He also belonged to the Lyman Riding Club, participated in rodeos and enjoys helping his dad with the sheep. Before serving an LDS mission in the Brazil Sao Paul.o North Mission, he attended Utah Technical College ir ' I'rovo. Both graduated Irom Seminary. In January he came to Cedar to work and is presently employed by Western Rock Products. Sorensen works al Hermies Too. The couple will make their home in Cedar City. |
