Show Local Woman Dies Following Lengthy Illness Mrs. Elizabeth Webster Hey-borne, Hey-borne, 74, wife of Samuel L. Hey. borne, died this morning following follow-ing a lengthy illness from diabetes, dia-betes, and aggravated by serious burns suffered early in May. The deceased has suffered from diabetes for several years, and became seriously 111 In November, 1948, and had become steadily worse since that time. On May 1, she was painfully and seriously burned when she arose in the night, and striking a match, set her gown on fire. She was badly burned from below her waist to her neck, and had suffered considerably con-siderably since. Mrs. Heyborne was born in Cleveland, Yorkshire, England, on January 14, 1875, a daughter of William and Carolyn Berdett Webster. She came to America with her family In 1892, coming directly to Cedar City after her arrival in the United States, and had resided here since. On October 18, 1897 she married mar-ried Samuel D. Heyborne in Parowan. Par-owan. Surviving besides her husband, are ten children, William, Max, Charles, Samuel, Menzles and Kenneth Heyborne, all of Cedar City; Mrs. Alton Nellson, Santa Monica, Calif.; Mrs. Lucille Nut-ty, Nut-ty, Los Angeles; Mrs. Carrie Nance, Burband, California, and Ruth Heyborne, Hollywood, Calif. Also surviving are 22 grandchild-ren, grandchild-ren, seven great-grandchildren, a brother, Ernest Webster of Cedar City, and a sister, Mrs. Annie Hamilton of Beaver. ' Funeral services have tentatively tenta-tively been set for 2:00 p. m. Saturday, in the Third ward chapel. |
