Show I Juan Lopez Honored at Funeral Services i Lopez. Prelude and postlude music was by Mrs. Marilyn Clarke land special musical selections included a vocal solo, "Jesus Lover of My Soul" by Alone Chamberlain, and a vocal duet by George Grimshaw and El-win El-win Armstrong, "In The Garden." Gar-den." Mrs. Chamberlain was aceopanied by Mrs. Clarke and Maurine Grimshaw accompanied accom-panied the duet. Mr. Lopez was born June 21, 1S71 In Matarns, Mexico to Jose Maria and Carolotta Collins Col-lins Lopez. IL married Eloisa Velasquez on May 2(3, 1937 at Three Rivers, Texas, and the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Tempi.?. Lopez came to the United States in 1900 and was active in trucking of produce and oilier farm goods in Texas prior to moving to Cedar City in 1902. lie was a memhrr of the Cedar First Ward- Survivors include his widow, Cedar City, three sons and three daughters: Artemio and Lionel Lopez, San Jose, Calif.; Margo Lopez and Aoalbsarde Lopez, both Redwood City, Calif.; Mrs. George (Hilda) Fowers, Provo, and Juan Moisos Lopez, Cedar City. Also Al-so a stepson, Metias Quintinu-ilia, Quintinu-ilia, Cedar City, and a brother Forenzo Lopez, Ryamondvillo, Texas. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Tuesday, Jan. 28 at Hue Cedar First Ward Chapel for Juan Bautista Lopez, 77, who died at the Valley View Medical Center, Sunday, Jan. 2(1 of pneumonia. Speakers at the rervices included in-cluded Dr. 1. S. Prestwlch and Klien Rollo, with a life history presented by a son-in-law, George Fowers. Conducting the service was Bishop Richard Rich-ard Me.sser. Prayer at the mortuary was by Matias Quintanllla. Invocation Invo-cation was by Corydon Walker and the benediction by Dennis Campbell. Dedication of the' grave at the Cedar City ceme- j tary was by a son, Juan Moises |
