Parowan Man Dies Following Long Illness Funeral services for William A Evans, 81, of Parowan were held Saturday In the Parowan West Ward Chapel. Mr. Evans died in a Salt Lake City hospital on Wednesday. Wednes-day. May 17th., of a lingering 111-now. 111-now. A son of Jenktn Abrani and Sarah Norris Evans, he was born in Parowan, Iron county, April 14, 1863, and was a lifelong resident. Having served as county commissioner com-missioner and city councilman of Parowan, he wag also engaged in the livestock industry. He married Alice Lenna Holyoak. December 15, 1887. After her death In 1910. he mhrrled Avis A. Clark in 1916. Survivors Include three sons, Leonard, Cifford and Horace Evans, all of Parowan; four daughters, Mrs. Eva Topham and Mrs. Carmen Car-men Topham, paragonah; Mrs Luclle Fife, Reno, Nev., and Mrs Laverne Stevenson, Las Vegas, Nev two brothers. John Arthur and Veltus Evans, Parowan; three sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Cecelia Page, Parowan; Mrs. Deborah Chlpman and Mrs. Sarah Ann Zabrlskie, both of Salt Lake City; 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
