Show Funeral Services Held Wednesday Afternoon For Dorothy Gillespie Funeral' services were held Wednesday for Dorothy N. Gilles-at Gilles-at 2 p. m. In the Cedar Third ward chapel. Mrs. Gillespie died of pneumonia pneu-monia Sunday at 9:15 p. m. In the Iron County hospital. Born in Parowan November 24, 1915, a daughter or Frank and Ada Thompson Norris. Mrs. Gillespie Gil-lespie was married in Cedar City December 29, 1934. She has lived in Cedar City most of her life. The family resides at 261 North 300 West. She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Lauree 13, and Janice 8, all of Cedar; her parents of Salt Lake City, and eight sisters and six brothers; Mrs. Ora Collins, Junction; Mrs. Carma Mickelson, Parowan; Mrs. Alice Bryan, Mrs. Derada Talbot, Mrs. Fustlne Lee, Barbara and Glenna Rae Norris, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Coda Wills, Too-ele; Too-ele; Rone Norris. Cedar City; Sherman and Lester Norris, Los Angeles; Van Norris, Nampa. Idaho, and Floyd and Spencer Norris, Salt Lake City. The funeral services, held In the Third ward chapel, were directed di-rected by Bishop Leo Larson. The musical program included includ-ed a vocal solo, "In the Garden" by Miss Lenora Spencer, accompanied accom-panied by Louise Marsden; a vocal solo "In the Garden of Tomorrow" To-morrow" by Ray Cosslett, accom-panled accom-panled by Mrs. Beth Leigh, and a song "I Need Thee Every Hour" by a moxed quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. DeMolne Jones, Mrs. Goldle Iverson and William Con-die, Con-die, accompanied by Mrs. Cora Condie. Speakers Included Fernleigh Gardner and Samuel F. Leigh, and brief remarks were made by Bishop Larson. Invocation was by I. E. Riddle, benediction by Allen Al-len Heaton, and dedication of the grave by Bishop Larson. |
