Mis Adeline De Chene and Miss Louise Eh-ret, Eh-ret, the young- ladies who hope to graduate grad-uate at St. Mary's next year, were the guests of the Alumnae association at their banauet. ' The Needlework Guild will this week distribute. to the orphan asylums, hospitals hos-pitals and charitable organizations the garments made during the year. Mr. Porter of the Kenyon has kindly given the members the use of his sample rooms to exhibit, the work. ; The children's choir at St. Mary's sing very sweetly at the 9 o'clock Mass, and ail children- in the parish who do not belong will be gladly welcomed as members. Rt. Rev. Bishop takes great interest in the children, and the little folks, knowing this, rre very faithful in attending rehearsals. An effort is being rrade now to organize or-ganize a boys' choir and parents should co-operate with- the c-If rev to insure the sue: ps of th undertaking by sending send-ing the boys, to rehearsal. The Altar Society at St. Mary's is in need of many, more active members, and the popular director, Rev. Father Keenan, would like to see every lady in the' parish become a member. To care for the vestments, linen and all pertaining to the sanctuary of a church is a sacred duty and not pastime, and every Catholic woman should realize this fact. |
