Show Obituary. A third member of the faculty of Sa-' cred Heart college to succumb to typhoid fever was Edward Shea, S. J., who passed away on Thursday, Oct. 15, after a brave struggle. Mr. Shea was born in Boston twenty-five years ago, and entered the Jesuit novitiate in 1905. He had been in this city but two weeks when, on Aug. 28, he was stricken with the dread disease and was removed to St. Joseph's hospital, where he died. His parents reside in Boston, and may take the body there for burial. The remains of Mrs. Harry Piffer, who died at her home in Longmont, i Colo., on Friday, Oct. 16, were brought to Denver for interment in the familv plot in Mount Olivet cemetery. Funeral service was read Sunday afternoon in Sacred Heart church, Larimer and Twenty-eighth streets. Mrs. Piffer was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Howlett, and niece of Rev. Father Howlett of Pueblo. Before her marriage mar-riage Mrs. Piffer was Miss Fannie Howlett. and was well known in Denver, Den-ver, where she attended St. Mary's academy. Jt News was received from Omaha. Neb., of the death in that city of Mrs. Catherine Keeshen, formerly of Denver, and a member of Cullen Court, Women's Wo-men's Ctaholtc Order of Foresters. |
