Show ; Obituary. Sullivan. ' The sympathy of many friends is extended ex-tended to Mr. P. E. Sullivan of Bingham Bing-ham Junction in his sorrow caused, by the death of his mother, which occurred oc-curred on Oct. 14 at Great Barrington. Mass. Mrs. Johanna Sullivan was born in Cork. Ireland, and was 71 years old. She leaves five children. John, in Brooklyn, Brook-lyn, N. Y.: Mrs. M. S. McCormack, Great Barrington: Mrs. Nellie Smith, Falls Village. CAiin.: Mrs. P. A. Holo-han. Holo-han. Great Barrington. and P. E. Sullivan. Sulli-van. Her funeral took place from St. Patrick's church. Great Barrington, on the 16th. Mrs. Sullivan being a member mem-ber of that parish for fifty-four years. Solemn requiem mass was celebrated and the funeral sermon was a tender tribute to the beautiful life that was ever a glorious Example of Christian womanhood. She lived the allotted three score years and ten. with every year filled with the benediction of good deeds done, in the name of her Redeemer, with humble submission to His Divine Will. In the hearts of her dear ones, and of all who knew her. will ever linger the tenderest memories of her saintly life and edifying death. May her soul rest in peace! McEwan. . Robert C. McEwan died Monday morning at the Groves Latter-day Saints hospital, following a series of operations which he had undergone and which resulted in suppurative pleurisy. He had been a sufferer for ten months past, much of which time had been spent in the hospital. Mr. McEwan was one of the well-known well-known printers of the state, having come here when yet a young man and entering upon the profession shortly after arriving from Scotland. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert T. McEwan and was born in Scotland in 1836. During, his lifetime he had been engaged a? a printer on nearly all th large dailies of the state. He was also a fine musician, a member of the Ogde and Salt Lake tabernacle choirs. The sympathy of many friends is extended ex-tended to the bereaved family in the loss they have sustained. He was. a man of high character and many. lovable qualities and his death is deplorable. Garey. James M. Garey died on Tuesday of the past week after a lingering illness. ill-ness. He was in his 45th year and was a native of Iowa. His funeral occurred from St. Mary's cathedral on Thursday. Thurs-day. Rev. Father Deneof officiated and delivered the sermon which was si beautiful tribute to the life and good character of the deceased. Beautiful music was rendered by Misses Clara Fafek and Florence Locke of the St. Cecilia chorus and Millie Williams. Mr. Garey was one of the best known mining men of Utah, having many interests in-terests in the Bingham mines. He leaves a wKe and four children to mour his loss, and the sympathy f all is extended to the bereaved ones in their great sorrow. They will sadly miss the unselfish loving husband and father, who fought. life'lT battle bravely, through years of ill health, filled with intense suffering. May God comfort them in their desolation! |
