Following an operation for acute j , . appendicitis, Fay, tlie 5-year-olt1 I daughter. of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin An-!' derson of Centerf ield, died at the Sa-lina Sa-lina hospital Thursday of last week i Fay was stricken Independence day at her home and her condition becoming be-coming alarming she was taken t.i 1 the Salina hospital where it was disclosed dis-closed tha.t the appendix was ruptur- 1 ed, causing peritonitis. The little '. girl apparently had passed the dan-' ger point and hopes were held for her recovery. Thursday afternoon, however, complications arose and at fiye forty-five she answered the call of the beckoning angels. ! Fay was born in Axtell April 12th, 1922, and was the daughter of Mr. ' and Mrs. Melvin Anderson, well known and highly' respected citizens of the Gunnison valley. Besides the parents, she is survived by eight ; brothers and sisters, Austin, Fern, ; Niel, Dick, Bemiece, Gay, Marva and Don. . I Funeral services were held last ' Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Centerf ield meeting house, Bish-1 op Chris. A. Peterson being in ; charge. "Jesus Lover of My Soul," ! . "Sun of My Soul," "Face to Face" and "Wanted on the Other Side,"; comprised the appropriate musical program, and talks were made by Brigham Jensen, C. S. Hansen and Bishop Peterson. Invocation was given by Newman Beck, the benedic- j tion by Roy Bardsley, and the grave was dedicated by Sidney Fjeldsted. j . Following the church services the body was taken to the Ccnterfield cemetery and tenderly laid to the final resting place. The little grave was banked with flowers, the token of love and esteem. |
