Show Sorenson Wedding Charming Affair The marriage of Miss Lucile Sorenson, a native of Gunnison and a prominent educator in the schools at Salt Lake, to Fabian R. Hickman of Los Angeles, on Wednesday of last week, was one of the prettiest home weddings wed-dings witnessed for some time, according to those who attended from here. It was an old-fashioned affair and simplicity marked practically all the features. The ceremony was carried out at the home of the bride's sister, Miss Vio Sorenson, and Bishop A. J. Elggren of the second ward officiated. offi-ciated. During . the ceremony strains of sweet music were played play-ed by Prof A. C. Lund. The marriage mar-riage was witnessed only by immediate im-mediate members nf thf rwn f aimilies and close relatives. The ' bridal couple stood before a' bank of pink gladiolus and the effect was charming: The bride's gown was pearl grey georgette, over pink satin, with pink flowered applique trimmings, and her head dress was a spray of delicately colored metal flowers. She carried a bouquet of Ophelia roses and lilies lil-ies of the valley. The groom was attired in the conventional black. Following the marriage ceremony cere-mony a wedding supper was served, covers being laid for forty. for-ty. Pink and white asters were used in profusion in the dining room. In the center of the table and old-fashioned wedding cake and pink candles in crystal candle sticks formed the table-end decorations. de-corations. During the early evening ev-ening and following the supper, dancing was enjoyed, the music being furnished by Prof. Lund and his son, Max, and daughter, Irene. Those attending from here were Mr. and Mrs. Niel Soren- son, Mr. and Mrs. June Metcalf, Mrs. William Metcalf, and the Misses Belva and Marjorie Sorenson. Sor-enson. Other guests attending were Mrs. C. W. Morgan and daughters. Misses Mary and Edith Morgan, of Nephi, and Mr. and Mrs. J. Stevenson of Lay-ton. |
