Show Johnson Keeps Busy. Sacramento, Cal. Assemblyman Grove L. Johnson of Sacramento, whose anti-Japanese bills aroused the antagonism of President Roosevelt, introduced in the legislature late Wed nesday evening a joint resolution asking ask-ing congress for a convention to amend the constitution so as to prohibit pro-hibit polygamy. It requested all other legislatures now in session to Join In the movement. The measure was introduced in-troduced at the reqeust of Mrs. Hester Hes-ter T. Griffith of Los Angeles, president presi-dent of the Women's Christian Temperance Tem-perance Union. |
