AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND re-enacting Section 294 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lako City of 1003. Be it ordained by tho City Council of Salt Lake City. Utah: Section 1. That Section 291 of tho Revised Ordinnncos of Salt Lako City of 1903 bo and tho sanio hereby is amondod and re-enacted so as to read us follows: Section 294. Duty of Health Commissioner Commis-sioner (See Nuisances, Section 480). The Health Commissioner shall bo tho executive officer 6f the Board. He shall take notlco of all ordinances relating to tho sanitary condition of the city and enforce tho same, and to this end ho is hereby authorized to onter, in tho daytime, any promises, houses or buildings build-ings in tho .city or within llvo miles thereof: ho shall issue all necessary permits for tho burial, removal or other disposition of tho bodies of docoasod .persons. Tho Health Commissioner is also authorized au-thorized to employ ono competent nurse for tho Isolation Hospital at a salary of $100.00 per month, and a steward for said hospital at a salary of $75.00 per month, and a cook at said hospital, at a salary of $50.00 per' month, all such employes to be employed during the pleasure of tho City Council. That tho City Council does horoby levy tho tax and provldo for tho assessment of tho samo upon tho property prop-erty hereinafter described In Lots Nos. 5, C, 7 and 8, Block 60; and In Lots Nos. 1 and 2, Block 79, Plat "A." Salt Lako City Survey, abutting on both sided of First South street between Second Wost and Third West streots, in Sewer District Dis-trict No. 1, said property having a frontage of 1,179.75 feet along said street.
