Show I Lehi's Glorious Celebration ...3-Day Record Breaker... I The celebration of July 3rd, 4tb and 5th at Lchl, eclipsed all previous record and proved to bo an event long to be remembered by the pcoplo of that city and the citizens of Garland who gavo their support in making it truly a "Mammoth "Mam-moth Celebration." Those in attend, ancc from thig city pronounced it the most successful affair ever held in Unit place. Much credit is duo tbo committal who arranged tho program for their sealous and united efforts in making tho affair a thorough success from beginning begin-ning to end. July 8rd When tho Garland train pulled Into Lohl, 200 people wcro at the depot to hid our citizens welcome Tho bands at on began playing and tho reception tendered to Garland's "-too" was ono uot noon to be forgotten. . An open-air concert by tho Lchl Silver Band and tho Garland Military Baud was next in order. Tho hands thcu marched to Main Street, followed by the ibroug, and filled the air with strains of delight' ful music. On Main a halt wm culled and both bands entertained the crowd Gap land's band In front of the Opera Houso and the I.chi band at the drug store corner. The entertainment committee was on hand and found places to accomodate accomo-date tho visitors Early In the evening tho Gnrland band gathered at tbo Opera House ami soon drew a crowd to the play, "My Partner's Wife," by tho Garland Dramatic Co. Every scat was taltnu before tho theatre began and many were turned away unable un-able to secure standing room. The show was well received aud passed off very creditably. Between acts II L Bush and Mrs. Marlu Wing bang 11 duet and Donald Don-ald Rlrkham played a cornet solo. After . the performance tho Iehi Dramatic Co. J, banqueted the vhltlng company in fitting fit-ting htyle. July 4th The following program was carried out on July 4th.
