Show nscMMTU nuivs By Marlene Haws 826-4859 Well, folks, it's Valentine's Day and we have some new little lit-tle lambs at our house, so I guess spring must be right around the corner. And still no snow on the ground! Lois Spencer is back home from Mesquite, Nev. Seems that her daughter Chris had to have surgery on her ankle and will be in a cast for six weeks. Joy Carter tells me that husband hus-band Bart is working in Glendale, Nev., not Arizona. Rose Bailey reports that she hears from Bob and Mavis Munson quite regularly by e-mail. e-mail. Isn't it amazing that we can get messages back and forth so easily even from China? At present the Munsons are living in Koowloon, which is a suburb of Hong Kong. They say that is a REAL big city. They are hoping hop-ing to do some sight seeing before returning home from their LDS mission, which will be the first part of June. After that they will be busy getting ready for the wedding of their daughter, Katie, who will be getting get-ting married in the Boise, Ida. Temple on June 22. No details on "Mr. Right" yet just know that he is a plumbing contractor and Katie is working in a bank in Boise. There will be an open house in Escalante for the new-lyweds new-lyweds on June 28. One of our former high school students, and resident, will soon be a full fledged airplane air-plane pilot! Darren Coughlin has most of his solo hours and ratings completed and will soon be able to take his pilot's test. He is even part owner of a Cessna airplane, so watch... he may be flying over your house soon! I got a call from Marilyn Jackson last Wednesday. She and Tom had seen the Olympic Flame in Salina when they stopped there to take a break from trucking. She must have felt a little homesick as they passed this area by because she called from Phoenix and they were headed for Los Angeles, Calif. They are really seeing the country. Jody Brooks And Velma Boulter went to Provo and back last week. They visited Velma's -; -; brother, Haws Porter, at the - ; Utah Valley Hospital while they were there. He is seriously ill. It has been reported that 7 -'. Ruby Griffin, who is in St. ; -; George right now, took a fall. ' ; -We need to get her back here so - . we can help to look out for her. Besides she is missing out on all the senior citizen fun. ; ; Jim and Lola Alvey, ' ; Mapleton, were in town on Thursday checking things out. They need to bring EvaDean Liston back next trip so she can get in on the senior citizen fun also! If any of you need knee surgery sur-gery and are putting it off, you should visit with Carolyn Porter or Butch Bacon. They are getting get-ting around without help from anything or anybody already.
