Show By JuAnne Gouiaing 679-8550 The Ken Piatt family spent a , few days in Richfield. While there, they put on a musical program pro-gram for the Cultural Club. On Valentine's Day, they again entertained en-tertained at a Regional Singles Fireside. We have had a few snowstorms snow-storms last week or so and there -may still be more to come. Ken and JoAnne Gouldling visited with Ed and Kay Dunham in Cannonville and enjoyed cake and ice cream for Ed's "January" birthday. Ed's father was also there as well as Kay's parents Louise and Don Mangum. It was a good time for everyone. Ruby Moore was home for a few days after spending some time in Salt Lake City. She was not well enough to have the surgery sur-gery that she had gone up there for so she was home for several days before returning to LDS hospital hos-pital for hip surgery on Wednes- day. Word is that she is doing well. She would probably love to receive a note of cheer from any of us. Ramona Mclnelly and Gwen Mclnelly; LaRona Callahan and their mom, Golda Mclnelly all went to Salt Lake City for doctor's doc-tor's appointments. They stayed at LaRona's son's home, Joe Callahan. Ken Goulding took a load of calves to the auction in Salina on Monday and spent the night there. He went back again Tuesday and they had gone through. The calves were pretty fat and their weight was up and the prices per pound were higher than they have been for a long time. It was a fun time. Many people were in Henrieville Hen-rieville for the funeral of Lee Smith. A beautiful funeral program pro-gram was given basically by his family with a lovely tribute by the children. Our sympathy goes out to Thelma Smith. After the burial, bur-ial, a delicious luncheon was prepared pre-pared and served by Relief Society Soci-ety ladies. It was good to see Janet LeFevre, also. Sickness and flu are still active ac-tive here. The weather is incon- sistent. Cold and snow, then warm and sunny... then mud. Daniel and Sara Rose welcomed wel-comed their new baby daughter, born to them on Feb. 19. Her name is Danica Jean and she weighed in at 7 pounds 6 12 ounces and came equipped with dark blonde hair and is as cute as can be. She and mom are doing well. Congratulations. |
