Show Area Obituaries Linda Sue Miller DEWEY, Ariz. CIR-CLEVILLE, CIR-CLEVILLE, Utah - Linda Sue Betenson Miller, 59, long time resident of Dewey, Ariz., died unexpectedly on Thursday, May '.IT, 2004, at her home. She was born Aug. 26, 1944, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Mark and Vivian Brinkerhoff Betenson. Linda grew up in Circleville where she met and-married at age 16, her forever sweetheart Edward J. Miller. She is survived by her husband, hus-band, Ed of 43 years; their children: chil-dren: Gina 42, Mark 41, Lisa 39 and Cassidi 20; her daughter-in-law, Gail; son-in-law, Allen; six grandchildren: Kim and Ryan Ford; Gary, Emma and Cheyenne Croshaw, and Jonathan Miller; one great-grandson, great-grandson, Riley; her beloved dog, Thimble; and many relatives rela-tives and close friends. Linda spent many years as a bookkeeper but her main role and love was as a mother and homemaker. She had unconditional uncondi-tional love for her family and special love for all animals. She was a devoted member of i lie LDS Church where she served in many callings and touched many lives. Linda truly loved being with and doing things for her children. chil-dren. She was always there when they needed her. She spent many years with her son Mark, ' escorting him to many golf tournaments tour-naments throughout the West. Wayne Garn Phillips ESCALANTE - Wayne Garn Phillips age 58, of Escalante. Utah passed away May 27, 2004. He fought a courageous fight with cancer, with his loved ones by his side, lie is the son. of Garn and Mariam Phillips of Orem. He graduated from Orem High School in 1964. He was a member of the LDS Church. He was active in the riding club and served in the Army Reserves. I le married Gay Madsen in 1966. They later divorced. Together they raised four children chil-dren Pam (Kevin) Hanks of Payson, Todd (Jill) Phillips of Escalante, Joe (Jolene) Phillips of" Arizona, and Lori (Jeff) Hansen) of Santaquinv He has 1 5 grandchildren, with a special grandson he will soon be sending send-ing on his way. Wayne owned and operated a cattle ranch in Escalante with his sons. He loved the outdoors, horseback riding, hunting, and fishing. Survivors include his mother, children, sisters; Connie ( Norman) Holdaway, Vineyard; Becky (Greg) Losee, Cedar Hills; Judy (Rod) Bennett, Springville; brothers; Leslie (Vicki) Phillips, Elberta; and David (Kaylene) Phillips, Orem. She was the best Mom. , Her love for golf led her and her husband to becoming the Husband and Wife Club Champions at Prescott County Club. Linda and her daughter Cassidi spent the last several years with the Miss America Beauty Pageants traveling' from Hawaii to California, Utah, Nevada and throughout Arizona. She was honored and crowned Mrs. America Beauty at the National Pageant in Laughlin, Nev. ' Linda was loved and will be missed by all who knew her because of her charming smile, incredible kindness and genuine love and interest in all. She was someone with whom all, including those who met her for the first time, could relate their problems, challenges, life stories, and love for life. Funeral services are being held Thursday, June 3, 2004, at 10 a.m. at the LDS Church in Prescott, Ariz., 7885 E. Longlook Dr. Graveside services servic-es will be held Friday, June 4, 2004, at 12 noon in the Circleville Cemetery with Bishop Kenneth Miller officiating officiat-ing and dedication of the grave by Bishop F.
