Show Funeral Sei vices For Mrs Grace C. Myers Funeral services were held Monday, March 23, for Grace Clark Myers who died March 18th from a blood clot resulting from a fall. Prayer In Home, Caesar Myers; Prelude and Postlude music, Ruth Henrie and Nina II. Barron; song "Let The Lower Lights Be Burning", male quartet; Prayer, Quince Alvey. The grave was dedicated by Carroll H. Wilson. Burial was in the Panguitch Cemetery under direction vof Neal S. Magleby Mortuary. Born Sept 30, 1902 at Panguitch, a daughter of James Leland and Mary Matilda Humphries Clark, she lived in Panguitch all her life. She graduated from local schools with honors, attended Branch Agricultural College at Cedar City, and BYU where she won honors on the debate team. On June 6, 1923 she married James W. Myers in the Mantl Temple. They owned and operated the first Grade A pasteurized milk plant In Panguitch, serving CCC camps and local cafes. Other ventures Included turkeys, chickens and peas. Mrs. Myers had been active In civic and church affairs. She was one of the first 4-11 club leaders in Panguitch; served as socretyy-trcasurer of Garfield County Democratic committee; was 1st vice president of Panguitch Literary Club; member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers; employed as a representative of Avon and Neodane companies. A member of the LDS Church, she has been a Relief Society visiting teacher for 25 years, Sunday School .teacher, secretary-treasurer of North Ward Relief Society, secretary of Primary, and MIA teacher. Survivors: husband; two daughters; Mrs. Carroll II. (Fern) .Wilson. China Lake, Calif.; Mrs. Walter J. (Elda) Tasker, Richfield; 3 sons: Van J., Panguitch; Lewis W., ,Mid-vale; Zeth Clark, Roosevelt; mother, Panguitch; 3 sisters and 2 brothers: Gai C. Jordon, James Leland Clark Jr., Guy W. Clark, Gene Fitzgerald, Mary C. Mey; 20 grandchildren. |
