Show ASHLEY NATIONAL FOREST NEWS Construction of the 94 unit , Bootleg Campground will begin immediately on the Ashley National Forest according to Forest Supervisor Andrew R. McConkie . The contract for construction construc-tion of the Bootleg Campground was awarded to Ford Construction Construc-tion Company of Provo, Utah for a bid of $301, 875. 00. This new campground facility faci-lity will be located approxi- mately 38 miles north of Vernai, Utah via Utah Highways 44 and 260, and about two miles from Cedar Springs Boat Ramp. The construction work on the campground will be slated for completion in 250 calendar days and is expected to be opened to the public during the summer of 1967. The contract calls for constructing all of the facilities for the campground including the asphalt surfaced roads, tables, grills, modern comfort stations, water system, sewage system and underground electric power system. Also included in the contract is the construction of a trailer sanitary station for the disposal of wastes from self-contained travel trailers. trail-ers. The Bootleg Campground is located on a Ponderosa Pines knoll overlooking Cart Creek and the east end of Flaming Gorge Lake. |
