Show NOTICE TO DOG OWNERS 2-31 It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation corpor-ation to own, keep, hold or harbor aiSy dog over the age of 6 months, within Duchesne City unless said dog shall have been vaccinated with a rabies vaccine approved by the Utah State Dept. of Health. 2-32 LICENSE Every dog owner shall annually during dur-ing the month of February secure se-cure a license from the City of .Duchesne for said dog, A charge of $2. 00 for every male dog and spayed female and $10 for every female will be made for this license. 2-35 IMPOUNDING Any dog found in the City of Duchesne not vaccinated, licensed li-censed and indentified as described des-cribed in the above provisions shall be impounded by Duchesne City and such dogs shall be held for a period of three days. The dog may be returned to its owner upon proof of ownership, vaccination of the dog, payment pay-ment of the cost of impounding the dog at the rate of $1.00 per day, and payment of any fine assessed under the provisions of this ordinance. j 2-36 KILLED At the expiration of the 3 day period, j any dog not so claimed by its owner may be disposed of by giving it into the possession of any person willing to pay the cost of impounding, vaccination vaccina-tion and license, or, if not so disposed of, it shall be killed in a humane manner by the impounding officer or other designated officials. 2-40 DOG TO BE TIED UP-Every UP-Every person who has in his possession or under his control any dog or bitch, within the corporate limits of this city shall keep any such dog or bitch securely locked up from one hour before sunset of every day until on hour beTore sunrise of the following. 2-41 DOGS AT LARGE It shall be .unlawful for any person to suffer or allow any dog owned by him, in his possession or under his control to run at j large within the corporate li- j mits of Duchesne City. 2-42 PENALTY Any person per-son violating any of the provisions provi-sions of this ordinance or presenting pre-senting a certificate of vaccination vacci-nation for a dog other than that for which it was issued shall upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than $5.00 nor more than $25. 00 or by imprisonment in the City or County Jail not more than 30 days or by both such fine and imprisonment. This ordinance was passed by the City Council, December 24, 1963 and has been enforce since then and is now going to be completely enforced by the present city council and city law enforcement officers.
