man dangerously stabbed stabled by a maniac yesterday morning sam rogers who has been employed more or less for a year or two working around the city jail and in other public work under supervisor hyde was as usual cleaning things up in the interior of the prison he happened to approach the grating door of phecell the cul eel in w which ich is confined a maniac named sherman who has been in the city jail for safe keeping for several yea year f s I 1 being a dangerous and vicious lunatic it appears that sherman had got hold of a large knafo by some means which he had sharpened to an exceedingly fine point and inserted securely into the end of a broom handle while the attention of poor rogers was engaged iu in another anomer direction the lunatic stuck this formidable weapon
