Mr. and Mrs. David Phelps are spending two weeks in San Francisco, Calif, on a training assignment pnor to accepting a new position in Taiwan with a firm. Both David and his wife served an LDS mission to Taiwan and will be moving there to make their home. Sunday Mother's Day dinner guests of Pres, and Mrs. Eldean Holliday were their mothers, Mrs. Ada Kent of Lewiston and Mrs. Eudora Holliday of Ogden and also a nephew Clark Noble. Mrs. Mary Bow ring has returned from a three week vacation to the East. She went to Cape Cod where she visited w ith her daughter Dorothy and Neal Reid and family for eight days and then went to Vermont to visit her other daughter MaryJane and husband. Dr. Tom Fox and children for eight days. She arrived home Thursday. Visitors on Sunday. May 10 for Mother's Day of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Meacham were Mr. and Mrs. Don Grant. Carver has been visiting with his brother George Carver w ho has been critically ill at the McKay Hospital. Mr. Carver is from Ogden and recently underwent open heart surgery and later another major surgery which resulted with complications. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Taylor visited her mother, Mrs. Vern Thorpe in Salt Lake City and his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Gailord Taylor in Bountiful on Mother's Dav. Mr. and Mrs. Arles K. Steiner recently returned from a two week vacation and stay in San Francisco. Wash. the holiday weekend in Orangeville, Utah with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Murdock. En route home they visited in Salt Lake Ger-rar- City with Mr. Murdock's d where they attended the flight training seminar at Boeing Aircraft Corp. Mr. Gerrard is project pilot on the new 767 plane. Mrs. Ann Logan and her granddaughter Brandi Lynn Osborn went to Texas where they visited with Mrs. Logan's Mr. and Mrs. Sam Logan at Georgetown, Tex. They also visited with the grandfather William Fletcher who is 100 years old. They returned home from a week s visit. Warrant Officer Craig Morrison is now at home on leave from the U.S. Army after spending the past three years assigned in Germany. His next assignment is at Fort Sill. Okla. Craig is visiting with his parents Major (Ret) and Mrs William Morrison. He will be with them for one month. Before leaving for Fort Sill, he plans to visit with his brother Richard stationed at Fort Lewis. Wash, and with his other brother Michael who lives in Chico. Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Mann returned home April 15 from Mesa, Ariz. where they spent the winter months. Miss Julia Kimose who has been in Vienna with the B1 U Study Abroad Class came home to spend a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Gerrard and her grandmother Mrs. Bertha Reese. She will return to Vienna to continue her studies and return in June with the group. Mr. and Mrs. Don Edwards and their family attended the funeral of a nephew, Kent Conder, in Pleasant Grove on Saturday. Kent was killed when a horse fell on him. He was the father of three small children. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bourne visited in Rexburg. Ida. with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Bourne. Miss Judy SchofTield entertained at a bridal shower for Miss Judy Schroader on Saturday. Mrs. Diane Schoffield assisted. Mr. and Mrs. Brent Brown and family of Southfield were visitors of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Krebs, on Sunday. Lloyd and Betty Larson and their daughters, Kimberly and Karen, of Sacramento, Calif., were houseguests of Mrs. Muriel Larson. They also visited a few days with his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Major and family. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Kimball and family of Denver, Colo were visitors of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wray Hyde. They came to attend his father's funeral. Merle B. Kimball, held in Salt Lake City. Special Interest group held a pot luck dinner Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Dena Billings. Mrs. Julia Neville assisted. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Bans of Perry, Mont, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wray Hyde last week. They spent the winter months in Arizona and were-eroute home. Mrs. Marjorie Thatcher and her family attended the blessing and naming of her grandson on May 3 in Pleasant Grove. The infant is the son of Jan and Valerie Olsen. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Dotson spent Friday and Saturday in Park City where he attended the Utah Fire Dept. Seminar. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin D. Ken-se- y were guests at the home of their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Call of Bountiful. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kinsey, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kinsey, all of Layton; Mr. and Mrs. Scott Miller of Bountiful, and all of their families. Mr. and Mrs. James Rasmussen were guests at the home of their son. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Rasmussen, in west Kaysville on Tuesday evening for a family birthday dinner honoring Jim. A special dinner was prepared Thursday evening at The Crestwood Chapel for the Special Interest group of the stake.
