Show k J 14 BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, Utah Thursday, September 22, 1977 Presbytery meets at the Baugh Aldewjftte Uet hodfftt Members and friends of United Methodist church meet for worship every Sunday at 9:15 a.m. at the historic Corinne Methodist Episcopal church. Sixth and Colorado, Corinne. Community United Methodist church in Tremonton holds services at 11 a.m. every Sunday morning. The speaker for Sunday will be Lay Speaker Norma Ogborn, a member of the Tremonton church. Her sermon title will be, Take Up The Cross. We will celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the Corinne Methodist Episcopal church on Sunday, Oct. 2. Watch for more details in next weeks paper. United Presbyterian Worship will be held in our sanctuary at 10:30 this Sunday. The choir will sing Surely Goodness and Mercy. A nursery is provided for infants and young children, and a junior church is offered for other children if parents desire. The adult study group will meet at 8:30. Theology in Song on the book of Psalms is the theme Sunday the group will study Psalms 1, 19 and 119. Dare to Risk is the theme of a supper Sunday evening, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Plan to come and bring your family. Bring either a salad or dessert plus table service. If you plan to come, please call either Jean or Shirley Yeakey, We will meet in the Sheldon Jackson room downstairs near the kitchen. There will be a small charge. Both Jr. and Sr. Highs will meet Sunday evening, 9 p.m., Jr. Highs downstairs in Gillespie and Sr. Highs in Fellowship' Rei-char- 0 halls. This coming Saturday Motel on South Fifth and Main Streets, Logan at 9. Laypersons from Brigham City are welcome to attend. Weekly Bible classes are being conducted each Tuesday at the Bible church by Ray Ransom of Logan. Ray is a former pastor and Bible Institute instructor and brings a wealth of knowledge and wisdom into his teaching. He will be teaching Bible survey at 7 p.m. and the doctrine of Christ at the 8 hour. For more information, call Junior Crusaders, our Bible program for younger children will begin on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 3:30 p.m., right after school. His theme will center around the joys and hazards of worship. Sunday evening a new series of Bible studies on the book of Ephesians will commence. Childrens Bible club meets Thursday evening at 7 p.m. for students from preschool through grade six. Junior high students programs are planned for every other Wednesday. CMC Netc Four churches will join together on Oct. 2, Sunday, to Comparticipate in World-wid- e munion. A cooperative service will be held at 7 p.m. at St. Michaels Episcopal churches for members of that church, Community Presbyterian, Holy Cross Lutheran, and Aldersgate Methodist church. The liturgy used will be that of the consultation on Chruch Union. It is also expected that the Rev. Ron Kowalsky, the new pastor of Aldersgate chruch, will be on hand. Cooperative church school meets each Tuesday afternoon from 3:30 - 4:45 p.m in the celebration room (large room upstairs inside on right side). Classes are open from ages four through grade level six. If you presently do not have a Christian education experience for your child, the Cooperative Church school welcomes him or her. Brigham City stuaents who were industed include Jana Hash, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lisle Hash; Edward and Carrie Pendleton, son and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pendleton.
