Leishman Esther Drewes Leishman, 43, of 1045 Grandview, Brigham City, died Friday, Sept. 16, 1977 at Brigham City Community hospital of a heart attack. She was born Sept. 4, 1934 at Tremonton, a daughter of Henry and Magda Mertens Drewes. She was married to Tony Purser Leishman on April 20, 1953 in the Logan LDS temple. She was a graduate of Box Elder High school and has been employed at Drewes Floral in Brigham City. She was active in the LDS church, serving in the YWMIA and at the time of her death was Brigham City South stake YWMIA president. She had also worked in the Primary. She was a member of the Simada study group. Survivors include her husband of Brigham City; a son and daughter, Chad Drewes Leishman, Riverdale; Robin Leishman, Brigham City. Also surviving are two brothers, Henry Walter Drewes of Omaha, Neb.; Vernon Drewes of Brigham City. Funeral services will be conducted Tuedsay at 1 p.m. in the Esther D. Leishman Brigham City South stake center. Bishop William Sparks will conduct. Friends may call at Petersen Funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:30 p.m. until time of services. On May 5, 1925, he was married to Mary Imogene ONeil in Vernal. Their marriage was later solemnized in 1948 in the Logan LDS temple. She died June 8, 1977. He had lived in Fillmore, Levan and Roosevelt before moving to Brigham City in 1942. A retired carpenter, he had been active in LDS church positions. He served as counselor and president of the MIA, working Boy Scouts, did genealogy work, and was a member of the Seventies quorum in the Twelfth LDS ward. He and Mrs. stake Crapo served a mission together. Survivors include one son and three daughters: Norman Dean Crapo of Anchorage, AL; Mrs. Lawrence (Nelda) Lofgren of Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Sterling (LaRae) Tolman of Ogden; Bonnie Stone of Las Vegas, Nev.; 17 grandchildren and 16 ; brothers and sisters; Lloyd Crapo, Orem; Howard Crapo. Roose- - Charles Nichols Payne Charles Nichols Payne, 77, Ogden, formerly of Tremonton, died Sept. 18, 1977, in an Ogden hospital of a heart attack. He was bom Oct. 5, 1899, in Trenton, to James Levi and Ida Matilda Fernelius Payne. He married Rosabel Altena Larsen on Sept. 10, 1919, in the Logan LDS temple. She died April 26, 1966. He married Violet Perkins Hales, Feb. 14, 1969, in Farmington, Utah. He was an elder in the Ogden Fourth ward. He had been a police officer for Tremonton, Trenton and Box Elder county. He was retired from Hill Air Force base and was an active baseball umpire for many years. Survivors include his wife of Ogden; sons and daughters, Milton C. Payne, Burley, Idaho; DeVerl Payne, Tremonton; Dean Lee Payne, VeLoy E. Payne, Mrs. Boyd (Elva) Ellis, all of Brigham City; Mrs. Linda Evans, Anchorage, Alaska; stepsons and stepdaughters Robert G. Checketts, Mrs. Clarence (Reta) Painter, both of Roy; Mrs. Daryl (Jewel) Hendrix, Santa Fe, N.M.; Mrs. Jack (Shirley) Corbett, Clear- field; 26 grandchildren; 23 Peter Anthony Carboni, 3, son Joseph and Donna Rose Quaderer Carboni of Willow Beach, Ariz., formerly of Brigham City, died Monday Sept. 19, 1977 at Las Vegas, Nev. He was born May 12, 1974 at Boulder City, Nev. He was a member of the Catholic church. Survivors include his parents; a brother, Michael Joseph Carboni; a grandmother, Mrs. Rose Quaderer of Brigham City. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the St. Henrys Catholic church. She was born Oct. 4, 1897, in Riverdale, a daughter of Jesse Alexander and Elizabeth Stratton Child. She was married to Aaron Thomas Williams on June 30, Peter Lola Sylvia Neville (CCC). A Mrs. Sylvia Neville, 8$, of 470 South Second West, Brigham City, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, ls77, in a local nursing home of a lingering illness. She was born March 1, 1891, in Randolph, Utah a daughter of Hyrum and Selina Hoffman Norris. She was married to George Delbert Neville on June 1, 1911, in Salt Lake City. He later died. Jonathan Dean Crapo Anna Weyermann Bowen Anna Weyermann Bowen, age 82, died on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 1977, in Logan of causes incident to age. She was born April 29, 1895, in Paris, Idaho, the daughter of Gottfred and Olena Hoth Weyermann. On March 23, 1914, she was married to Gideon Leonord Bowen in the Logan LDS temple. He died on May 11, 1964. Prior to her marriage she lived in North Logan, moving to Beaver Dam after her marriage. She working in Primary, Mutual, Sunday school, and served as president of the Relief Society of Beaver Dam ward for five years. She was an ardent worker in the LDS temple, and also served as a Relief Society visiting teacher. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, serving as secretary of that organization.
