Show PUERTO RICAN DIES IN MINE CAVE-IN Graveside services were conducted con-ducted Thursday at 5:15 p.m. in Bingham cemetery by Rev. John LaBranche for Gregario Gonzales 37, Puerto Rican employed by Kennecott Copper at its Bingham Bing-ham open pit mine who was killed in the cave-in of a bank in the mine Saturday, March 17, at 3:10 p.m. Mr. Gonzales, a resident of Bingham for the past three years was working on I level on the east side of the mine when the accident occurred. As he attempted attemp-ted to climb over a bank, company com-pany spokesmen said, the bank caved in. Death was attributed to a skull fracture. A machine man in the drilling and blasting department of tbe nine, Mr. Gonzates came to Bingham in April 1945. He was born Dec. 10, 1913, at Barcelon-eta, Barcelon-eta, Puerto Rico. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Anna Maria Bruno Reyes Gonzales, and a daughter, both of San Turce, Puerto Rico, and a brother, Ancelmo Gonzales, Bingham. Funeral services were, held in Bingham mortuary chapel cha-pel Tuesday at 6 p.m. by Rev. Carlos Colon. Bingham mortuary was in charge of arrangements. |
