Show MRS. F. PETERSON BURIEDSATURDAY Funeral services for Mrs. Ab-bie Ab-bie Peterson, 52, who passed a-way a-way Thursday, March 15, at 3 a.m. at her home, 202-4th Street, Copperton, following a two-year illness, were conducted Saturday, Satur-day, March 17, at 2 p.m. in Copperton Cop-perton LDS ward chapel with Bishop Rex B. Garrett officiating. officiat-ing. Speakers who paid tribute to the wonderful and useful life of Mrs. Peterson were Bishop Garrett, Gar-rett, Raymond Larsen and George M. Nix. The Relief Society Singing Sing-ing Mothers rendered two numbers num-bers "In the Garden" and "O My Father", and Carrie Diederieh and Irene Christensen sang "I'll Take You Home Kathleen". The floral offerings were profuse. A daughter of Fred and Annie Christiansen Smith, she was born Nov. 16, 1898, in Pleasant Grove. She attended Pleasant Grove schools and was graduated graduat-ed from Pleasant Grove high school. She attended BYU at Provo, and was a school teacher for several years. Mrs. Peterson was an active LDS church worker work-er and a neighbor we were proud to have known. She was married to Franklin Peterson June 10, 1922, in Salt Lake temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They resided in Copperton for the past 25 years. Surviving besides her husband are: three sons and five daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs, Lorraine Kilborn, Seattle, Se-attle, Wash.; Richard Peterson, Midvale; Virginia, Carol, Lucile, David, Robert and Peggy" Peterson, Peter-son, all of Copperton; tour brothers bro-thers and three sisters, Mrs. Mar-jorie Mar-jorie Atwood, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Emma Gillman, Orem; Mrs. Helen Pierce, Brigham City; Clifton Smith, American Fork; Erving Smith, Hanford, Calif.; Leslie Smith, Midvale, and Ralph Smith, Magna. Interment was in Pleasant Grove cemetery. |
