Arthur Bentley visited vis-ited Saturday with their daughter, Mr. Orley Bill and family and Mr. Peter Padgen and family, both of Midvale. ; Mr. and Mr. Gail Farnsworth and Mr. and Mr. Howard Farns-wortji Farns-wortji enjoyed a week end frnhing trip at Bear River and Evanston, Wyoming. Mr. and Mr. A. D. Bentley purchased pur-chased a new car, a black Mercury, Sunday. Paz Gallego and family who formerly for-merly resided at 7 lleaston Height are moving Friday (today) to 7757 So. 1920 Wert in Wert Jordan. Monday Mr. and Mr. Arthur Bentley purchaed a home in Mid-vale Mid-vale at 118 Rooevelt Street. They plan to remain in Bingham until December. Catena Lodge No. 1 7 held a o-eial o-eial and went to ee a show Monday Mon-day night. Enjoying the evening were Mr. Selma Bentley, Mr. Er-ma Er-ma Dean Dimmick, Mr. Eunice Rae Colling, Mi. Elva Jensen, Mrs. Bcrnice Foster, Mr. Caroline Murano and Mr. Myrtle DeCol. Sunday Mr. and Mr. Arthur Bentley attended the first session of LDS Stake Conference, later enjoyed en-joyed lunch with Sue Ann Dimmick Dim-mick and then all returned for the second session of conference. Fire Lcdie met Monday night for their regular weekly meeting with Mr. Lawrence Wert hostess for the evening. Bridge was played and prize won by Mr. Boyd Anderson, And-erson, Mrs. Leonard Bell, Mr. A. D. Bentley and Mr. Robert King. Lovely refreshments were served by the hostess. Martha Circle met Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Bess Kemp in Midvale for a regular meeting. A very lovely one o'clock luncheon was served by the hostess. Afterward After-ward a business meeting was held following which bridge was played. Prize were won by Mr. Bessie West, Mrs. Pearl Ramusen, Mr. Myra Larick, and Mr. Berenice Willie. Other member present were Mrs. Myrtle Thomas, Mrs. Kay Sonne, Mr. Hazel Robbe Mr. Edith Johnon, Mr. Margaret Du-Bois, Du-Bois, Mrs. Helen Austin, Mrs. Ida Bolman, Mrs. Mary Zaccaria, Mrs. Edna Jacobsen, Mrs. Charlotte Murano, Mu-rano, Mr. Neva Jenen, Mr. Helen Sullenger and her daughter, Charlotte Char-lotte Rasmussen who wa a guest. Next Circle meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Jacobsen in Cop-perton Cop-perton on October 4th. They came to attend at-tend the wedding of Patricia Nielson Niel-son and Lail B. Meenen. Derald Nielson left Sunday, Sept. 1 7, for Cedar City where he will attend College of Southern Utah. Accompanying him was Mis Jane Roehl of San Francisco who will also attend C.S.U. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Bentley and children, Bobby, Julie and Debbie spent the afternoon visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Householder Jr. and children, Susan Jo and Steven, of Wert Jordan. The Firemen and Auxiliary dinner din-ner group are holding a conjoint dinner thi Monday night, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. On the committee arranging ar-ranging the dinner are Mr. and Mr. Verl Peterson, Mrs. Mae Stillman Still-man and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Winn. Carol Nielaon PR 4-3036, Reporter MID SEPTEMBER WEDDING Patricia Nielson became the bride of Lail Bruce Meenen Saturday, Satur-day, September 16, in double ring ceremony performed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bell, 170 East 1150 South, Sandy. President Elmo Turner in the West Jordan LDS presidency, officiated at the marriage. it An open house honored the couple after the ceremony. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hunt L. Nielson, 287 Main Street, Bingham Canyon. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick Meenen of Clifton, Kans. For her wedding the bride wore a beige cocktail dre of cotton brocade. She carried a bouquet of white spider carnation and an orchid or-chid like flower. Attending the bride wa Miss Carol Nielson, a sister, as maid of honor. She wore a dress of light brown nylon organza and he carried car-ried a bouquet of peach gladiolu. Duties of best man were performed per-formed by Lynn Meenen, the groom' brother. Derald NieUon acted a usher. Mrs. Toni Trujillo presided at the guest book. Assisting in the gift room were Mrs. Marva Sullivan, Sulli-van, Mis Jane Roehl and Miss Patricia Pa-tricia Padgen. The newlyweds will spend a few day honeymoon visiting with the groom's parent, Mr. and Mr. Fredrick Meenen of Clifton, Kan., alter which they will make their home in San Diego, Calif., where he i stationed with the U.S. Navy. SEPTEMBER NUPTIALS A mid-September wedding of local interest was that of Lynn Miller and Miss Nadine Louise Cardoza which took place Sunday afternoon, September 17, at 3:00 o'clock in Sacred Heart Church in Hollister, Calif. A reception honoring the couple was held after the ceremony. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Cjrdoza of Hollister, Hollis-ter, and parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Evan Miller of Copperton, formerly of Bingham Canyon. The groom's brother, Dennis Miller attended the wedding. The newlyweds are expected to arrive in .Copperton this week end where they will make their home while the groom attends the University Uni-versity of Utah. Marriage Announced Announcement was made this week by Mr. and Mrs. Richard H. Willey, I 176 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City and former Copperton residents, of the recent marriage of their daughter, Miss Yvonne (Twink) Willey, to Chin Mo Lee. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Chae Hyun Lee, Seoul, Korea. The couple's marriage was solemnized sol-emnized in Las Vega. For the occasion, oc-casion, tho bride wore a plaid heath dress in autumn tones. Both are University of Utah students, stu-dents, and will continue their studies stu-dies at the hilltop school thi fall. Both, also, are former member of the University's swimming teams. The bridrwroom is doing post graduate work in mathematics. ATTENTION ALL TEEN-AGERS! Appearing in person at the Pioneer Pio-neer Hall in West Jordan tonight will be "The Zircons Rock 'N Roll Band". The band consists of five teenage boys. They are: Leader Pete Martinez saxophone and Eloy Salazar drums. Other members are Toby Morgas, Gilbert Valerio and Victor Trujillo, all on guitars. Their advisors are Adam Medina and Johnny Garcia. The band recently recorded a record in Salt Lake City last week. They are from Taos, New Mexico. All teenager invited. Dr. Ira Black To Direct VUitation Dr. Ira Black, secretary of new church development of the Board of Home Missions of the Congregational Congre-gational Churches, will direct a program of visitation for both the Orem and Sandy churches, beginning begin-ning Sunday, Oct. I. Dr. Black has worked with many churches in training people of the church in visitation programs, and states that the spiritual impact on the church is significant through such work. |
