Show 1' iff I-j: " I ttti wtm 1 FORMER HIGHLAND BOY RESIDENT DIES, SERVICES SET FOR SATURDAY Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Saturday, July 13 at 12:15 p.m. in the Jenkins Funeral Fun-eral Chapel, 4760 So. State St., for Mrs. Staka Zjaca (Steffie) Gerbich, 65, of 214 E. 4800 South, Murray, former Highland Boy and Bingham resident. Mrs. Gerbich Ger-bich died Thursday, July 11, at 5:45 a.m. in a Salt Lake hospital of carcinoma. Friends may call at the mortuary mortu-ary tonight, Friday, from 7:00 to 9:00 and tomorrow, Saturday, one hour prior to services. Mrs. Gerbich was born August 24, 1891, in Potok Vrhovine Lika, Yugoslavia. She was married to Bude Gerbich in Salt Lake City in 1913. He died in March of 1938. She was a member of the Serbian Orthodox Church. She came to the United States August 11, 1913. A resident of Bingham Canyon for many years, she resided here until June 1956 when she moved to Murray. Surviving her, are four daughters daugh-ters and three sons, Miss Dorothy Gerbich, Pete and Robert Gerbich, Ger-bich, all of Murray; Mrs. Mildred Mild-red Campbell and Mrs. Ann Lis-nich, Lis-nich, both of Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Mary Harris, Anchorage, Alaska; 'Mike Gerbich, Midvale; five grandchildren, and three brothers and sisters in Yugoslavia. Yugo-slavia. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery. LEE F. SWEAT FUNERAL SET FOR SATURDAY AT LARK. 1:00 PM. Funeral services for Lee Franklin Frank-lin Sweat, 60, of Lark, who died at his home Wednesday, July 10, at 11 p.m. following a lingering illness, will be held tomorrow, Saturday, at the Lark LDS Ward Chapel at 1 p.m. Friends may call at 8090 South State St., Friday (tonight) from 6 to 8 p.m. and tomorrow, Saturday Satur-day from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A son of Hyrum James and Rozilla Lee Sweat, he was born November 6, 1896, in Park City, Utah. He was married to Minnie Murdock Giles in 1915. She died December 22, 1945. He married Viva Carlile Giles, April 7, 1947, in Lark. A member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was also a member of the Lions Club, and the Steel Workers Work-ers Union. He was a stationary engineer for the U. S. S. R. and M. Co. Survivors include three stepsons, step-sons, Charles LeRoy Giles, Downey, Dow-ney, Calif.; Lawrence Giles, Murray; and Doyle Giles, Center-ville; Center-ville; 6ne step-daughter, Mrs. Earl (Bessie) tBigler, Lark; three brothers, Sam and LeRoy, Salt Lake City, and Ernest L., Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove; two sisters, Mrs. Matilda Ma-tilda Johnson, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Pearl S. McMillan, Pleasant Plea-sant Grove; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Burial will be in Heber City cemetery. |
